Sabol Brothers: Handcrafted knives of the highest quality

The two brothers Andy and Michael, better known as the Sabol Brothers, are based in Kosice, Slovakia, and have dedicated themselves to the production of handmade knives of all kinds since 2015. Together with the brothers, we at Iconic Tools have launched their own kitchen knife series: Durabilis. The Sabol Brothers specialize in the use of high-performance powder steels such as Elmax, Uddeholm Vanadis 4 Extra, and Böhler K390 and M390.

Böhler N690: Our premium steel for high-performance knives

Böhler N690 is a chrome steel that impresses us with its excellent combination of hardness, corrosion resistance, and edge retention. The special alloy containing cobalt, molybdenum, and vanadium gives this steel exceptional robustness and stability, making it ideal for demanding applications. The steel used in our Sabol Brothers kitchen knives is hardened to a hardness of 60 HRC. Despite this hardening, the steel is relatively easy to resharpen.
