What are the differences between the stainless steel blade and the carbon steel blade?

The stainless steel blade is made of 10C28Mo2 steel, is rust-resistant, and ideal for humid or changeable weather conditions. It requires minimal maintenance and stays sharp even with intensive use. The carbon steel blade offers maximum cutting power and is particularly durable. However, it requires more care to prevent rust and is ideal for traditional users who value raw cutting power. Both blades deliver outstanding precision and are tailored to different needs.

How do I care for the blade to extend its lifespan?

Keep the blade clean and dry after each use. Remove fresh sawdust and mulch immediately after use, as they can become more easily trapped between the teeth when dry. If a thorough cleaning is necessary, the saw can be completely disassembled – all you need is two Torx T25 screwdrivers. Only disassemble the saw when necessary, as the wooden handle can react to changes in humidity. Reassemble it immediately afterward to avoid any inaccurate fit.

The American oak handle is treated with only natural linseed oil. To maintain its smooth feel, you can reapply a little linseed oil as needed. Avoid storing or drying the saw near heat sources, as sudden changes in temperature and humidity could damage the wood.
