The No. 284 chisel is a true all-rounder. The thick blade makes it ideal for more demanding tasks, such as carving deep grooves in hard woods that require leverage. The blade lengths vary between 11.7 cm and 17.8 cm. The ash handles are reinforced with steel rings at both ends, providing additional stability and allowing repeated strikes with a mallet. The handles are optimally adapted to each size in the chisel range, ensuring they are perfectly balanced during use. The overall length of the tools ranges from 26.7 cm to 33 cm. The leather disc acts as a “shock absorber” on these tools, allowing fatigue-free work and preventing the blade from penetrating deeper into the handle.
